The Old & New Testament Scriptures are the inspired Word God. We profess no written creed other than the Holy Bible and strive to understand, teach and live out the commands of Scripture.
We believe in the person, nature and authority of the one true God revealed to us in the Bible. God co-exists equally in three persons: Father, Son and Spirit. God is eternal, holy, loving, compassionate and just. God is over all and He alone is the savior and judge of creation.
We believe Jesus is the Son of God and a co-equal member of the Godhead. In the flesh, Jesus lived a completely human life without sin. In death, Jesus became the atoning sacrifice for all sin. In His resurrection, Jesus became victorious over death and now reigns as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Jesus is now and forevermore Lord and Savior.
The Holy Spirit is a co-equal person of the Godhead. He indwells each member of God’s family as a helper, guide and seal of salvation. When we walk in step with the Holy Spirit of God, we begin to bear his good fruit in our lives.
We believe that all humans are made in the image of God, but follow the same fate as Adam in becoming disobedient and separated from God. All people sin and are in need of salvation. Salvation is offered to all people through Jesus.
Because ALL have sinned, ALL need salvation. Salvation is God's gift to mankind; not something that is earned by works. We respond to God's gift of salvation in the same way Peter instructed those cut to the heart by the message of salvation in Acts 2:37-38: by repenting (turning to God) and being baptized (immersed in water) in the name of Jesus.
We believe the church is the body of Christ and God's kingdom on earth. At Lake Harbour we strive to be the hands and feet of Jesus to our community while we faithfully await His return.
We believe the next age is eternal. God alone will judge mankind and separate us into our eternal destinations of Heaven and Hell. Those who have found life in Jesus will go on to eternal life. Those who have rejected life in Jesus will go on to eternal death and torment.
